I'm a bit surprised about the child benefit thing as that's obviously one gripe a lot of people have. So that's a win. And although "ever closer union" is just words and doesn't mean anything in practical terms making it clear the UK can opt-out of it is a good symbolic gesture.

I think this may be enough to win over some of the undecideds, but he was never going to achieve immigration caps.

This issue will not go away because the people who know what democracy is will never be satisfied with membership of the EU.

Are you impressed with what he's achieved?

I think the whole "renegotiation" was a dumb idea and was only ever likely to hurt the cause rather than help it. But he achieved more than I thought he would.

But even if he'd managed to get complete control of immigration, total opt out on all legislation, no further payments to the EU and a refund on the 20 years worth so far, complete freedom for the UK to abuse human rights, AND free ice cream for life for every man, woman and child in the UK Kippers would still vote to leave because it's not about what the EU is or what the EU does. Scorpion and the duck and all that.

What he needs to do is win over the undecideds.

Has Boris decided yet? Probably both camps are hoping he doesn't pick their side.

He'll go pro EU, just trying to maximise his personal gains from decision he'd already taken. Allegedly...

Indeed. Camoron have secured himself a nice EU job in the future IF he wins the referendum.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
