Do you know any IOS devs?Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostI can tell you straight off that I (or my friend) can't afford you! No need for me to give you any quotes. If the prototype succeeded then there is no doubt he would need a full-time IOS dev. It's very difficult to get funding without establishing a POC and the guy has a very very limited budget - which is why I am using my day off to help him for free. I can see it might go somewhere so thought I'd help him out and oversee the delivery of the POC as well as get my hands dirty where I can.
I can't recall if any of the people I worked with do iOS dev or not, if anyone springs to mind I'll let you know.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Just an update for you guys....
I went British in the end. Managed to find a Junior developer already in full-time work. Somebody I actually already know!
We agreed a reasonable rate considering his level of experience but it's all we need. It actually is a lot better value than going Eastern European and will save a lot of headache...
I will be doing all the plumbing (database, procedures, WCF services, web apps) with the developer just having to deal with the JSON WCF service for IOS/Android development - making all of our lives easier.
I actually managed to find a second guy but I need another project to work on. I'm thinking of adopting this model for several plan Bs I have in the pipeline.Comment

And his employer owning his IP doesn't cause a problem?Comment

As the OP said you can normally get permission formally from your employer, many have a clause in the contract that you can disclose your personal work to make sure it is known to be your IP.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/ownershi...opyright-works
Where a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work, or a film, is made by an employee in the course of his employment, his employer is the first owner of any copyright in the work (subject to any agreement to the contrary). The expression “in the course of employment” is not defined by the Act but in settling disputes the courts have typically had to decide whether the employee was working under a ‘contract of service’ (eg as an employee) or a ‘contract for services’ (eg as a freelancer or independent contractor).Comment
