I still believe in a tree and a lightning . But my faith has then evolved into more sophisticated concept of multigod. All in all out of millions religions, thinking that christianity is the right one is bit bulltulip.Originally posted by d000hg View PostThat's rubbish. But hey! theres god merciful that only killed few billions of people in bible (flood, sodoma gomora), tortured (Hiob) etc etcLast edited by diseasex; 17 May 2016, 09:29.Comment

Are you really that naïve?Originally posted by Eirikur View Postyes but most of this has now been explained, so why are there still people who believe in a bearded guy in the sky?
Religion is the oldest control mechanism known to man. Control by fear. Instil the belief early on that they'll burn in hell for all eternity if they don't believe everything you tell them. Silence critics either by derision, excommunication or violence. Scrap religion and you'd have to find some other way of controlling people or inspiring them. Imagine having people pulling together for the common good rather than serving to divide and conquer. I'm no Trekkie, but that seemed to be the message that Gene Roddenberry was trying to get over. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment

You'll have to buy the CUK Compendium Of Inneresting Tales to find out.

He wouldn't have been the first one to have lost his mind while on a dougal.
