I think it has no relevance to the Presidential run at all, the voters simply don't care or care to know.

Perhaps not, but I think he has the media vultures dancing to his own tune. I don't think they realise just how loathed they have become. Thus the 'extreme' statements, albeit what passes for 'extreme' is largely a function of what the public has been conditioned to normalise.

Whether his party likes it or not, immigration trends in the US are affecting its electability, and their rival party is taking advantage of this. So they can shriek about 'racism' all they like, whilst salivating over the prospect of bombing third world countries to satisfy some ideological crusade (both parties are complicit in this), but he is about the only one addressing this issue. Paul is a better choice, IMO, but obviously a lost cause.

If he is a plant, of course, they're fecked as a whole, but surely he would suffer consequences for it? Even though borderline fraud is the norm for electoral promises.

Didn't the UK just elect a guy whose henchman declared bombing Syria will help Britain get its mojo back? That is, besides passing a raft of new taxes that were unspecified in their manifesto. I think we should be circumspect in casting stones, in this case. We're already governed by clowns, and the joke is at our expense.

Besides, they have had a sequence of clowns in office already, including the current one. As has Britain.

I think you've got me wrong. Yes Trump is a clown, but they're all clowns. Generally speaking anyone who wants to run a country shouldn't be allowed to.

Well what's the cost to them of lying or fecking it up in general? Maybe their party will go out of office for a few years, but with the way it is set up it'll always be one or the the other regardless, with increasingly fewer points of differentiation.
