    Our Beko is 12 years old and still going strong (as a beer fridge). The F&P is about 6 years old and hopefully will last a few decades more.

      That's a bit of a tautology. You obviously find out more complaints when you look around. You haven't spent any time looking at LG or Bosch so you haven't seen the complaints about those. And of course people generally only go on the web to post negative comments.

      The company you bought from is the thing giving you headaches. Did you buy direct? Probably should've used ao or something.

                      Does the fridge bit work? I had a similar problem with my freezer not working once but, oddly enough, the fridge was way too cold. When the engineer came out it turned out I'd installed it upside down.
