Which section is the freezer section?
It's a top and bottom one with freezer at the bottom, its the top of the range one that Samsung do in this style, though this model is only sold by Currys other stores have the same model but without the handles. The fridge seems to cool fine the freezer is the issue.

Buy SAMSUNG RB38J7635SA Fridge Freezer - Silver | Free Delivery | Currys

I suspect the one I bought they don't sell many of due to price and the fact it looks just the same as the £350 model so its probably been sitting around a while.

Sounds like the freezer is faulty.

          It happens.

If a white good is going to fail it normally fails in the first year. Though some fail after 13-14 months.

I recon it must be thermostat / computer as it shows -23 but nothing freezes, they wont replacer / refund until Samsung come out to confirm fault. I bought on Credit card first Samsung product ever I've bought and it will be the last, I've never had issues with any other makes even the crappy ones.

I let it settle for 15hrs as per the manual.
That's a bit of an overreaction. EVERY brand has a certain % of faults. It could have been dropped during transit even.

I'm dubious they have no better refund process than that, decent companies would replace it and then check the returned item.

I reckon it will turn out to be "user error".

I'm not a betting man, but I suspect we won't be told that, it will be someone else's fault.

Its in the kitchen, next to the dishwasher (slimline hardly used) with 6 inch cab between them and a kitchen panel, the kitchen does get warm around 22-24c, the old 'Beko' fridge £199 was also there and worked fine.

I hoped it user error but read the manual and no, even tried resetting the computer but again no luck.

I'm happy for engineer to come out but if it is buggered I just want to swap it for another model, the more I have looked into Samsung products, there appears to a common theme of failing and Samsung generally being a pain in the butt.
