I spoke to them in the summer to enquire about their response to the IR35 consultation and they told me that they were in discussions about the possibility of being able to offer insurance for clients should the outcome be the whole 'client decides SDC and opts for the safest choice by default' scenario, which would let us continue as a Ltd company and ease any nerves on the part of the client.

Of course all that could be blown out of the water anyway if this 30 day limit is introduced.

Do you really believe that the freelance contractor will be replaced by freelance contractors getting perm offers ??????

Is it not more likely that short term project based work will be outsourced to consultancies, ICT'ing bobs into every available role ?
