I think very few contracts stipulate taxis - those where you have to be escorted to work from your locked secure compound mainly.

I don't think that taxis are likely to change after the Autumn budget. I think it's a simple case of contractors being taken for a ride.

Did you think "I want to go contracting" and then realise setting up a Ltd was the best way to pursue that? Or did you decide "I want to run a business" and then decide selling yourself as a service was the best business opportunity you could think of.

If it had been equally tax-efficient and afforded the same protection/opportunities to work as a self-employed individual without the red tape of running a Ltd, would you still have set up a business?
