I got kicked out a contract once after I'd started. I wonder if that counts as a draw :-)

The thing is when we have such discussions on here, is everyones situation / skills / market is different.
if you have many, many, years in a specialism and a solidy built reputation you should fail very few interviews.
This also links directly into the coversation, with regards to, how much experience you had, in a discipline before you set out contracting.
If you are a pretty useless, lazy, jack of all trades, with few years experience, then your hit rate is going to be lower. The Chunt of Chunts.Comment

In the last 4 years (3 roles), I've been "interviewed" once and that was to discuss my role in the project with the team I'd be joining. On all 3 occasions the client contacted the agent and asked for me specifically, or contacted me directly.
So, 3 different contracts, I didn't apply for any of them and was only interviewed for one. What does that make my recent hit rate? 300%?
If we look further back over 15+ years, the interview to job rate is probably 75% ish. I appear to be able to talk myself into jobs.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

You have seen my CV??????Originally posted by northernladuk View PostAfter interviewing 9 contractors recently I can imagine many people on here who are interested enough to post with their peers will have a pretty high hit rate. There must a whole raft of people out there that have endless interviews for the two or three contracts on their CV and the only way they can get end to end gigs is by bailing to a new client.
I like the changing clients
I was going to say Love Suity/MF/PC but I might get in trouble.Comment
