Having lived in Wales a little while, Wales seems to have an identity of three principalities not one

They all talk different languages depending where it is in Wales, and it seems to have two capitals of Wales....Cardiff and Liverpool

Wenglish as typified by Gavin and Stacey seems to really be a thing, the number of times I've heard "I'll do it now in a minute" without a trace of irony is too many to count

As to any implied racism I've not heard any, except the only I entered the local quiz night in the pub and won...that didn't go down too well
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I always find it odd that when I go through Queensferry there is a sign that says "Croeso Gymru". Everywhere else it is Cymru.

Mrs BP always used to wonder why traeth beach seemed to extend along the whole North Welsh coat. Until someone explained that the Welsh for beach is traeth.

She never lets me forget that when I saw my first heddlu(police) I said "watch out for the head-loo". Apparently dd is th and lu is le. So it should be pronounced hethle....

That's a cop-out Daily Mail answer. Most of those issues are either common across the UK, or localised to specific areas of England (primarily London). My part of England is still pretty much a "white British" monoculture and yet the issues I identified still exist here.

Interestingly in Wales all the best schools are Welsh speaking. Clearly speaking Welsh mkes one a lot more intelligent...
Yep my son goes to welsh medium high school.

                    Mutations mate.

Croeso i Gymru it is. "i" is to. Because this is in front of a C it mutates to a G.

On its own no need to mutate so its just Cymru.

There are other rules too some on them quite complicated. I aint fluent but there are occasions where C becomes NGH (I think!).

How'd you get on with double L then?
