Yeah I have to say I did find the old
Get and old car, break down and try and fix it in the rain a touch tedious last night.
It also showed how much bits really help to keep the show fresh.
Anyway RIP like a pair of old slippers you will be missed.Comment

Slightly worrying aside...
Read a road test review by Chris Evans yesterday about a car that had dull reactions, understeered at every corner, had zero flickability and was generally uninvolving to drive so only warranted four stars.
It was an MX-5...Blog? What blog...?Comment

I have never had an MX5 - everyone always raves about them but are they not a little underpowered?
But to Chris Evans
1) If a car over steers into a corner you are going in to hard and possible also trying to brake while cornering thus exceeding the grip limit of the tyres.
2) The MX5 has limited power and this it is not so easy to just stab the throttle to loosen up the back to flick it about - it is not a Ferrari.
3) Uninvolving - possible for someone who drives Ferrari's regularly probably not for someone coming from a 1.2 Corsa.

And that is possibly going to be Evan's problem - Jeremy grew up test driving the average family saloon/hatchback etc and therefore knows what an average car is - therefore can recognise why the MX5 is seen as a good car.
Evans does not have this experience and so everything will be compared against his Ferrari collection

Enjoyed last nights show, although it was a bit like a bereavement in some ways, what with no audience and the silent credits.
JC tweeted afterwards thanking the fans and saying how sorry he was it ended this way.
The BBC is left hugely damaged by this. Apart from the loss of income, one of their last non-PC products has gone. They are now even more out of touch with the public, and their existence becomes yet harder to justify, and they know it.Comment
