You may jest. But back in 2008 if the solution to the crisis was to put more money into the real economy(such as construction projects or reduced taxes) instead of QE that only benefits the elite, then things might not be as bad now. -
Some conspiracy theorists believe the whole "crisis" was manufactured to put the wealth firmly into the hands of the global elite, with a few generations of debt serfs to pay for it.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostYou may jest. I don't go that far. But the happiest societies are where there is equality of wealth. And the inequality gap is widening.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostSome conspiracy theorists believe the whole "crisis" was manufactured to put the wealth firmly into the hands of the global elite, with a few generations of debt serfs to pay for it.Comment

Royalty reguarly does.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostTo remove pressure on London, I think Royalty and Government should vacate the capital.
As for the Govt. as nice an idea that would be (and actually a very good one considering Houses of Parliment needs £3bn of renovation) I don't see it ever happening

Instead of having ICTs and shipping in foreign workers to occupy bedsits on mass to provide workers on the cheap, why not ship them in from deprived areas like Cornwall, Wales, and Scotland.
Then have state poor houses, to house the workers
Problem solvedSocialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

They don't care about society equally. They care about cutting down the tall trees so that the little trees feel better (less tall trees doesn't equal taller little trees).Originally posted by MercladUK View PostThe only party which cares about our society equally is the Labour party,
That sounds entirely the opposite of 'equally'.Comment
