We can have someone like Liz Kendall. She is married to Greg Davies the comedian.
All of those make them unelectable for a decade.

and what difference does that make? These feminists dropping the hubbies name like it helps? Stand on your own two feet ladies!

FFS, what makes anyone think that Chuka is a contender for the leadership post?

I hope he becomes the leader so that Labour will go into total political oblivion, but then who here needs an MRI of the brain and their elbow?

I hope Labour stay out of power for as long as possible, I hoped with B'liar they had learn't their lesson that the country has to make a profit and everyone who can make a contribution, that way the tories can learn it is wrong to take too much profit sometimes.

unfortunately Labour were worse than the tories last time they should never be elected again!

Labour know only one way of running a country. Borrow billions, raise taxes sky high and bleed the working class dry and distribute the money to public sector and unemployed. That way they have created a social class that will vote for them indefinitely.

They have to implode and crash and burn and if that happens I will piss on the bonfire.

I can already predict the public sector planning strikes etc demanding a 10% pay rise for doing nothing but pen pushing and sleeping in the office.
Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !

I'm not sure what you are on about.

Lots of professional women don't use their husband's name because they got into their careers and qualified before they got married. Plus if they get divorced and remarried, you and I don't have to keep remember what their bloody last name is. I mean Liz Taylor was always Liz Taylor even though she got married 8 times.

In regards to Liz Kendall it's only because media sources looked into her background that we know this. There is actually very little information on her personal life. I just think it's amusing that if she was Labour leader her nearly 6ft 8 inch husband would be dragged out to accompany her.

Chuka has good qualities, but I just don't think the country is ready for a Black PM. As another poster has said if was going for mayor of London, no problem at all. I just can't see voters up north coming out in droves to vote for him.

Please not David M. We've had enough of the Millaband soap opera. Can you imagine how many times the Daily Mail and Telegraph would paste that Banana Pic on their front pages?

Looks like it's a dust up between Tristam Hunt and Liz Kendall. Not sure any of them is remotely PM material.

Which brings me to an interesting option. Tried, tested, experienced..Why not Tony Blair? He's 62 now, would be 67 by the next election, actually young historically. He could spend 1 full term planting Labour back in the center ground as well as grooming his successor (Chuka??). Just a thought

sorry thought you were using it as a reason to vote for her. If she is hiding it good on her.

I sort of admire Mrs Yvette Balls Cooper as she did try to hide who she was married to , but it may have been she realised he was a liability.

If this is the indication of how stupid Labour voters are, then the future is bright for this country.

Well she got re-elected and he didn't.

Apparently "Mr Yvette Cooper" was so conceited he though being shadow chancellor was enough for his constituents to re-elect him. It would be amusing if she did get elected as leader just to see him dragged out as the leader's spouse. I wonder how he's enjoying time with the children.....
