I'm starting to wonder if the conlib set up was better for the moderate person especially now they are going to try to bring back Fox hunting. WTF is that about?

They are diametrically opposed to my philosophy in life.

The labour party personifies the meddling, interfering dead hand of big government. There's some shocking statistic somewhere that goes somewhere along the lines of more laws were passed during the 10 years of Blair's administrations than were passed in the preceding 150 years.

Quite a statistic that. And backs up the maxim that you're never far from a tyranny when socialists are in power.

            New Labour socialists?

            Very funny.

To get elected in England you need to hold the centre.

No chance for Chuka. He neither has the charisma nor the experience to run something big.

If someone thinks he does, then they need an MRI of the brain.

                I'd go for David M.

New Labour may have ostensibly embraced the open market but everything else about them was fundamentally socialist c/f creation of a bloated client state, social engineering via mass immigration, subversion of our legal system via their iniquitous human rights act.

Socialist is probably too weak a word, I think Stalinist would fit the bill better.

Let's keep it simple and call them W4NKERS.

Clearly, I gave them too much credit.

As for Mandy saying they should do more for plumbers, well he did enough before the time he was fired for the third time. He would never get my vote for anything.

MS, neither do I like to have to vote for the Tories, you are not alone. But there has been no alternative for a long while now
Mandleslime was the chap who sent out search parties to make sure wages stayed depressed.
