Chuka would be a very good candidate for London mayor. As leader of the national Labour party a large part of the Midlands and north would move further towards UKIP...merely at clientco for the entertainment -
I would like to be able to vote Labour.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostSo we need someone who the people of CUK would vote for? Is suity standing?Comment

Only one candidate can unite the touchy-feeley southern pacifist left with the common working man. Only one man who can twat a polar bear and spin it to the extent he gets a round of applause from a bbc audience. Step forward, Sir Brian:

WHY????Originally posted by mudskipper View PostI would like to be able to vote Labour.
until they expel everyone in New Lie we can't vote for them.
Yes I do have some time for Chukka he seems to have potential.Comment

I certainly think they align more closely with my philosophy on life than the Tories. I'd like a viable alternative (which is why I think the SNP have done so well). A more up-to-date Labour party might fit the bill.Originally posted by vetran View PostWHY????Comment

David milliband will be back. They knew they wouldn't win this time round so put ed up as a sacrificial lamb. 2020 should be fun Borjs Vs David milliband.Comment

If they do, and I highly doubt that he would stand or that they would pick him, they're doomed. Too much baggage. The only candidate that might've worked - Dan Jarvis - seems to have ruled himself out. I can't see Chuka having much appeal among traditional Labour voters north of St Albans (or, rather, north of the Faroe Islands as things currently stand).Originally posted by TheLordDave View PostDavid milliband will be back. ...
I really thought the 'backstabbing' leader election was staged so that Ed could screw up for the first 4 years of a tory gov (remember no one knew there would be a coalition when the unions installed Ed), and that David would return to miraculously rescue his brother and the party prior to this election. Clearly, I gave them too much credit.Originally posted by TheLordDave View PostDavid milliband will be back. As for Mandy saying they should do more for plumbers, well he did enough before the time he was fired for the third time. He would never get my vote for anything.
MS, neither do I like to have to vote for the Tories, you are not alone. But there has been no alternative for a long while now
