This was a disastrous decision, given that, as Orwell noted, Labourites and Lefties revile and deride so many of the things perceived as quintessentially British. Take your pick from the monarchy, the flag, the Army, the history of rampant conquest, the biggest empire in the world, the supremacy of the English language, anyone who lives in the countryside, the national anthem, the City of London, the Royal Navy, a nuclear deterrent, the lion and the unicorn, duffing up the French, eating loads of beef – all this, for Lefties, is a source of shame.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Labour's secret plan to lure immigrants was borderline treason – and plain stupid – Telegraph Blogs
Andrew Neather, a former Labour party speechwriter, let the cat out the bag when he said that the Government had encouraged immigration “to rub the Right’s nose in diversity”. But while Neather quickly backtracked, documents now released under the Freedom of Information Act suggest that he was telling the truth. Rather than being the result only of incompetence or a short-term economic measure to reduce inflation, Labour’s policy of runaway immigration was a deliberate and cynical attempt to change the face of British society.
for some reason the fertility rate has jumped since about 2000, wonder why that is?Comment

The direction should be towards total unemployment, this can be achieved when robots/computers do most of the work and everyone receives 20k a month income.

Entitlement without responsibility is a way to ruin a society. Someone has to pay for all this, the vast majority of people's contribution is less than they take out. If too many take out then society collapses and/or the sponsors leave.Comment
