When there was the issue of child abuse within the catholic church the catholic church addressed the issue and is/has worked out a solution.
At no point did anyone try and make out that in some way the catholic church condones child abuse.
Most of the people who end up with ISIS/being jihadis have been recruited at mosques and so whilst I do not say that therefore all muslims condone violence the problem is something they have to acknowledge exists and a problem they need to find a solution for.
Burying their head in the sand and saying they are not muslims is simply unacceptable.

I want my account deleted and all of my information removed, I want to invoke my right to be forgotten.
Those who were killed did not walk up to anyone, they were at their place of work. They were sought out by the killers.
The offence caused was more incidental. Their primary aim, I would suggest was to amuse their readership. Despite rather than spite, I think.
I was working within Dodgy's analogy. That it was like walking up and punching them because their face was unpleasant. I suggested it was more like punching someone after they offered repeated provocation and that neither were innocent. The terrorists quite obviously guilty of a far worse crime.
I disagree the offensive cartoons were targeted and designed to look 'edgy' not funny. If it had been published in the UK it may well have been considered illegal.

Provocation can be anything that someone chooses to be provoked by. I may be provoked by your opinion simply because I do not agree with it. It does not matter how much one is provoked resorting to violence is wrong no matter what level the provocation is. In the west we are civilised enough to recognise it and not tolerate the liberal left view that makes excuses because someone "was provoked".
Satirising religious or any sort of bigotry and lets face it religion is bigotry is the best way of dealing with it.
