Because it's a load of made up fantasist bollocks, just attention seeking crap, with poor attempts to use another language which other posters on here know natively. -

So, either we are all thick (unlikely, as a collective) or Suity is thick (likely, based on previous performance), or this is all a dream (depends on Spesh count).
...his SQL scripts are on his personal email provider, and he can't get to that from inside the clientco network (access not granted). He didn't know that until he got there, so he decided he was going to try and work remotely from the hotel wifi, thus having vpn to the client and also access to his personal email (for said SQLs). However, the hotel wifi is still broken and all he has is an iPad with mobile internet access, but iPad doesn't have vpn client and would consume a lot of data if it did, or if he tethered through it or tried downloading all the SQL scripts onto it.
Like I said, I think this is the problem. It's difficult to deconstruct.
Don't believe it, until you see it!Comment

Breaking it down further.
I cannot remotely connect to clientco. This means to access their systems I need to be on site. Therefore I am not working in the hotel. I am on site.
The Files I need to copy to the client system are in my email account. Clientcos system has no web access. The only way I can connect from my laptop to my email is by wifi, provided by Telekom. None of the free wifi providers that Darmy mentioned are in range and there are no coffee shops in the vicinity.
Collectively you lot are as thick as pig tulip.

It would be hard going to find a collective that shares your level of intelligence, that's for sure.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostCollectively you lot are as thick as pig tulip.

No web access or internet access? If it is no web access then I don't know what on earth you're talking about, web access to the outside world or web access to the client? If you have internet access then doesn't your email provider have a web interface to your email? If no internet access then you're stuffed or you could just go to someone, say a permie, who works there who is liable to have internet access and ask them politely if they could help you download some data to help you continue working. I've been on sites where I've had to wait a short period before I got internet access and by asking someone else for a bit of assistance never hurt....Originally posted by suityou01 View PostWow.

At the time of posting, no. If I had, would I have started the thread or would I just have retrieved my email using webmail and got on with my work?Originally posted by mudskipper View PostSo you do have internet access?Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

So I just asked a colleague. Here is a transcription of our conversation.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostWrong.
Weizenbier (or Weißbier) is a light beer of which there comes 2 distinct types, Kristallweizen and Hefeweizen of which only the latter you get a Dunkel (there is also a Weizenbock Dunkel but not really found too easily). These are obergärige beers
Helles is basically an üntergärige beer and is is a light beer but you might find it also called lager or export. A very different type of beer
Suity : Are you a German beer expert?
Colleague : No. I'm German and I drink beer.
Suity : That'll do. If I went into a bar and asked for a "Helles" would the barman know what I mean, or ask "Helles what?"
Colleague : Helles what. For example Koelsch and Pils are both Helles. You just asked for "a light coloured beer". You didn't specify which one.
Suity : Ha! You just made an Englishmen very happy.
Colleague : <Looking confused and slighltly scared>Ok then.<Walks off>Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment
