    • Many 'proper' drinkers don't "do" rounds and each go up when they want a drink.
    • Your list of rules includes "there are no rules"
    • In a proper pub with a good range of beer, perusing the local ales or guest beers is part of the experience "I think I'll go for the Mangled Midwife" "What's the Butchered Pedophile like?" Just because YOU always order "A pint of Fosters Mate" the rest of us might not
    • The whole point of a pub is as a safe, welcoming, inclusive refuge. If you want to be a snob, piss off to your wine bar.
You've just outed yourself as an occasional pub-goer. Get OUT! This is a local pub for local alcoholics, I mean, drinkers.

A bar opened in Glasgow a few years ago where regulars could get a microchip inserted into their arm. Yes, into the flesh of their body, so that when they walked through the door and past a scanner, the barman would have a message flash up so he could pour their favourite drink without being asked.

      It's closed down.

We don't call them Alcoholics, we call them "Publicans Friends". Or Possibly 'Liquid Crusaders Fighting the Holy War Against the Tee-Total Taliban'.

I don't go every day but I do have a regular where they know our faces.

It's more like knowing your drinks and serving them when you arrive!

Remember, if the landlord knows you by name then 'You've made it!'

There's a particular dish option on my preferred indian place's menu that I'm pretty sure I'm the only one to ever order. Within 5 mins of the order going in the chef comes over and says hello.

I will be having it on Saturday (probably)

9 years I've been frequenting this establishment, and finally there's a CUK post that makes complete sense. Cheers.

Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
