Taxi trip
Is it ok if I am at my contract location and then instead of taking my usual route home in london I go to the airport to go to home in scotland, whilst charging this taxi trip as a business expense?
If I've already done it how do I tell hmrc not to take it as an expense?Comment

OP... Start talking to your accountant a little more. He might give you a better overall explanation so you won't trip over minor points like this.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment

I would just expense it with no consideration as to BIK.I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment
