Sky News are obviously so embarrassed that they drove this woman to take her own life that they are not reporting on it.

I don't think any of her tweets were aimed directly at the McCanns so she wasn't trolling them. She was discussing the possibilities of what had happened in general and a few were quite nasty about the parents but, as they aren't on Twitter, they didn't see the tweets themselves.

So if the reason is unimportant why did you add the bit about them socialising?

Perhaps they are not like you who sits in the childs room at night for every minute of the day. perhaps they were prepared to take the risk based on the infrequency of child abductions that happen when families go on holiday.

Why do you feel the need to criticise them? Surely they have worked out for themselves their mistake. Unless of course you think that their punishment has not been sufficiently severe.

I am trying to understand at what point should they be absolved from your cruel criticism? If they had been sitting in the room when an armed gang crashed in and forcibly abducted her - would that have been acceptable to you sir? Or if mum and dad had just nipped out for a "knees on the carpet" session to keep Allah on side and a jewish person had nipped in and nicked her? I am trying to establish where in the spectrum of the sanctity of your own standards their behaviour would have been acceptable.

It's different if you use someone's @ handle to include them in the conversation. That to me is trolling. She didn't do that and probably thought she was just conversing with like minded individuals on t'internet.

Dodgy, their behaviour is inexcusable.

They are complicit through their neglect.

Whichever way you wish to dress this up or soften it by ridiculing me is up to you but you can't change the fact that due to their behaviour something has happened to Madeleine.
