There was a huge swing towards Yes and it started to go in the lead, then the vow was presented, then the swing to Yes stopped and reversed slightly. Only an utter moron would pretend the vow didn't swing back to No. -

I think this quote will explain it

They don't have an I in the name (e.g. UKIPOriginally posted by d000hg View PostNo it won't. You can't have a referendum because some vague promises don't appear to have been kept.
Anyway, shouldn't SNP have disbanded regardless of the result? Since the people of Scotland said they didn't want to be independent, that rather makes the SNP's whole existence a bit pointless.

Kosovo declared independence on 17 February 2008[110] and over the following days, a number of states (the United States, Turkey, Albania, Austria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, the Republic of China (Taiwan),[111] Australia, Poland and others) announced their recognition, despite protests by Russia and others in the UN.[112] As of 13 August 2014, 108 UN states recognise the independence of Kosovo and it has become a member country of the IMF and World Bank as the Republic of Kosovo.[113][114] The ICJ concluded unanimously in 2010 that Kosovo's declaration of independence of 17 February 2008 did not violate general international law.[115]Originally posted by Batcher View PostYes, but still possible. And what did the majority of Kosovans want to do? Was their unilateral Declaration of Independence the will of the majority of the people, or a coup by a minority?Comment
