I don't believe that. The EU referendum was done on a whim, facts manipulated, not one iota of truth. Just look at the number of local projects funded throughout the UK by the EU. You think that Westminster will pick up the tab once once we've withdrawn from the EU?

Protests in Germany against transatlantic TTIP and CETA trade deals

You'll never see such protests in the UK. The EU defends small business while the UK sells the last bit of family silver for a short term profit.

        Dooooooomed!!

Scotland could never be independent with the current economics. The current day economy supports services across the UK, not just for Scotland. The public sector needs drastic culling on independence day. To continue to make people dependent on debt (which the country is accumulating at an unstoppable rate) is the real crime here.

The irony here is unionists are the most dependent on the public sector, which means we need to borrow more.

SNP needs to focus on cutting back the public sector and focus on job growth in the private sector before independence comes back. The Brexit business may accelerate if we're taken out the EU, which would be drastic for small business in Scotland.
I suppose it would make it eaasier for us to spend our international aid budget if Scotland left. Foodbanks all the way up the Clyde would count.

The fiscal transfer from UK to the Scottish government to cover the public sector debt is 9 billion. The UK's foreign aid budget is 12 billion.

The UK could still fulfill its 0.7% GDP commitment to foreign aid, save yourselves 9 billion and we could be 3 billion better off.

That's nonsense and you know it. It has been discussed for years, including during the previous Lab govt.

There weren't any lies. The whole point of the ref was that we are losing control to Brussels and we wanted it back.

Using the funding for small projects as an example, why should Brussels decide where our money is spent? No one voted for them. We can't vote them out unlike Brown when we got sick of him.

I'm starting to believe you have genuinely missed the point of this referendum.

Who voted for May? Who voted for Gordon? Who voted for the House of Lords?

Our establish only cares for itself. Not the people who voted for it.

We did not loose control, we choose not to participate. A world of difference.
