One of the funniest elements to this is that Wee Nicola (the pug-faced trout!) has been actively attempting to convince everyone in the UK to REMAIN when in fact what she really WANTS is for Scottish voters to vote REMAIN and English voters to take the UK OUT. She would interpret that result as her gateway to a second scottish indy referendum.
As it looks like we have opted to REMAIN, she can kiss goodbye to any second referendum for the rest of HER political career anyway. Which is nice!

Maybe she thinks Scotland would get a better settlement from the EU than it does from Westminster. The price of oil very much dictates they would be a net receiver of EU support than a net contributor.

Quite how the rhetoric of "we want independence, but actually we don't because we want to become part of the Euro and Ever Closer Union" would wash with the Scottish public I don't know.

If she wants to guarantee a "Leave" result in a future Scottish independence referendum, she should ensure the English get to vote rather than just the Scottish. The landslide would be inevitable.

There is a deficit of 15 billion, at 10%, the EU will demand that we get that to 3% and join the Euro. People just won't have that.
