    Made me laugh anyway
    So you're advocating better together?

Definitely not. I'm sure, if you asked them, they would tell you that their choice of independence worked out well for them. (Even if their oil was running out).

            My mum's upset.

She's (currently) Scottish, but apparently after independence, to get a Scottish passport, you have to have been born in, or currently live in Scotland.

She was born in India to Scottish parents, lived in Scotland from aged 1 - 36, and has a strong Scottish accent. After independence I guess she won't be Scottish. I wonder if the Indians will have her.

That's a shame Muddy. I'm absolutely sure she'll find a Romanian in Glasgow who would sell her their passport.

On a serious note, Mudskipper, are you sure the rules are as simple as current residence or place of birth ?

There's 100 loopholes in the eligibility criteria to play for Scotland in various sports, so can't see this being any different.

You're probably right. If and when we need to, we'll fight her corner!

This is the way dictatorships work.

Essentially I want nothing to do with this new government if it comes to pass. I will look to ways to move my company south, I will try to keep a British passport by refusing a Scottish one and if Standard Life who hold my pension don't move south as promised I will move my pension there myself. I fear the government will try to dip private pensions in the future.

Edit: add to that the SNPs attempts to end corroboration in the courts which the judges don't want.
There will be a general election soon after if it's a yes, so you don't need to put up with snp. Or is you paranoia such that you think he will renege on this?

Didn't you know ??? Salmond will be crowned king and his family will become the Scottish monarchy. He'll adopt Nicola sturgeon, who will become like prince Charles, never quite getting her hands on power, while King Eck gets increasingly senile and makes ridiculous laws and tries to invade England on his 5 speed racer with a catapult full of dog tulipe.

That actually won't happen, but I fully expect it to get into a Bitter Together campaign document, and it will probably happen in Minestrone's wine soaked brain.
