There was a lady who used to post here (maybe she still does, as I can't remember her moniker and shamefully can't remember her RW name) who had a really beautiful tattoo all around her thigh*. Like I say, I can admire a really beautiful tattoo, but I am too chicken to have one myself.
* Before anyone goes off all hot and bothered, it was legitimately on display at the first CUK Christmas do, way back when.I'm Spartacus.Comment

Whether your working class acquaintances have tattoos isn't relevant as a sample size. Perhaps they're not really working class and you're confusing "working class" with "doesn't have a southern accent"Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

This debate comes round regularly on here. I bet there are plenty of people who have tattoo's that no one is aware of.
My old boss said it was ok to have as many tattoo's as I liked.... as long as no one can see them.
To be fair - I'm not sure I'd want to take professional advice from someone head to toe in ink but then that's pretty small minded especially considering I have a few myself and know that it doesn't affect how well you do your job or whatever.

I said tattoos are more common in the working classes. You're assuming that because I associate tattoos with the working classes that I am passing judgement on them because you want to believe I think badly of the working classes. I never mentioned intelligence or said anything derogatory about tattoos or the working classes, the fact you assume that suggests you're prejudiced really.
I'm bringing smoking into it because that is another thing that is more common among the less educated demographic. I'm not making a judgement on that either. It's just the way things are.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

A reasonably successful not working class tattooed man:
Vladimír Franz - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
English :: Vladimír Franz
The art of tattooing is accompanying mankind since time immemorial. In addition to the original magic and ritual function, it represents also an aesthetic function. Of course - an aesthetic point of view is a matter of each free individual. Tattooing is an expression of free will, not touching the freedom of others. It is an expression of permanent and unchangeable decision to stand up for your opinion, in both good and bad. (...) My tattooing is result of a long-term sophisticated concept, not a sudden emotion.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
