I've rejected applicants because they had visible tattoos during the interview.
tattoos are for the lowest of the lowest classes

The local rag's story about it ends with
Mr Swales said: “We have high expectations of our
employees.”

Looks like the client doesn't have much of an idea about the difference between contractors and employees.

      Oh, hang on:
Consultant Jo Perkins was this week forced to leave Salisbury FM, the multi-million pound CMK company whose sole client is Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.

      That would explain it

call me a snob but I still see it as a lower class thing.

People who have class don't care how other people look.

It's part of what gives them class.

Anyone who has a visible tattoo that has no religion or culture basis is an indication of an inability to grasp public perception of their ‘ink’ or to think things through.

My friend (actor) has spent 000’s in removing his bicep barbed wire and buying makeup to cover it now as he is scarred and my brother cannot get into a public service role because of his hands and neck.

                    Not true at all.

I suppose it depends upon how old you are but, when I was a slip of a girl, they were confined to menial workmen, criminals and the military.

These days their appeal is much, much more widespread with plenty of women sporting them as well as the men. Most of the women I've known have had a tattoo because it's edgy and it would piss off their parents (though none of them would admit this of course!).

And it's not like they're even small discrete tattoos - the student we have serving at our local pub this summer seems to have the Harley Davidson motif emblazoned across her lower back which she reveals every her top rides up when she bends down to get a bottle of Britvic from the bottom shelf.

Anyhow, here's one person who does look good with tattoos:

Or they don't give a shit about what strangers think of tattoos.

I wouldn't choose to have a tattoo because I don't like them. My wife has several because she likes them - the only perception that matters is her own, not what the public think.
