Not sure if this is sarcasm or a joke, but Russia are at fault here. They have been engaging in information wars and hoping we disregard logic.Originally posted by _V_ View PostAt least we know which country has sparked the next world war.

Whether it's events in 2014 for Ukraine, more recently in Belarus, Kazakhstan and the others. They think world order should bend to their whim and sudden demands. Hopefully the future is a future without Putin, regardless. Russia could become a developed country, but sits middling to bottom in every table for quality of life, salary, happiness, you name it.Comment

Russia own hundreds of media websites that are specifically targeted at western countries. I can read the "About" section of this website, but it doesn't mean that the information contained within is necessarily a true depiction of who actually writes the articles on that website.Originally posted by jamesbrown View Post
One thing that is becoming more prevalent on forums, including ContractorUK and Reddit, is opening discussions that are premised on websites that are not considered to be tier1 in the news media sphere. You can do a V and be anti-logic and anti-MSM or you can get balanced viewed from multiple sources. I'm highlighting that this source doesn't seem credible at first glance.Comment

One thing is for certain, Russia are definitely not at fault over Ukraine. Didn't read the rest.Originally posted by agentzero View Post

Yes, gentle Russia was forced by evil NATO to occupy parts of Ukraine

I explained my skepticism. I've never heard of the website referenced.
Russia has been engaging hundreds, if not thousands of websites to publish disinformation. A small example:
https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/jy0126
All those morons posting anti-vaxx information from BitChute.com by sharing those articles: do you engage with them when they ask to "prove me wrong!" or do you sigh in disappointment that they seem unable to differentiate between trustworthy sources and junk sources?Comment

Not in a credible way. This commentator is extremely well known (as an emeritus professor from a credible institution that has been publishing on the subject for many years in mainstream outlets) and that article has been reposted and republished in several contexts and widely praised by analysts that I trust far, far more than you and it is also coherent with my (albeit) limited understanding of the history and international politics involved.Originally posted by agentzero View PostI explained my skepticism.
