HMRC have sent an offer to settle (which should more accurately be read as a letter demanding a very large sum of money from you but we are nice so won't be adding excessive Wonga like penalty charges today) to people who have been part of an EBT or Loan based tax planning scheme...
Following HMRCs standard approach of ensuring people have time to panic with no means of speaking to anyone in HMRC they were sent to arrive on a Saturday morning (yesterday) so that people have the weekend to worry....merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

I read this thread and had a gander at the threads out of curiosty. Nearly died when I found 3 brown envelopes on my desk!! Thank god it was just some stuff about postal voting. Phew.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
