I handed in my notice on Friday, and sacked the nanny today. I'm going to have a few months off with my son and get my priorities straight.

+1. Benched a bit last year but I watched my new born daughter grow up, time you can't get back.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View Post
Have a great summer with the little one - they don't stay young for long, and eventually they won't want to be seen with you so make the most of it!
Good luck.

Yep - doing the same myself. Initial offer of 3-monther was canned so I am done end of July and will NOT be looking for another one.
Delighted to be getting off this one, need to recharge and get my head straight.
I am telling no-one about being available and if one does pop-out I am set to tell them August is now a write off for work, how is September ?
Course - I will now be benched for 4 months, but hey-ho, I have had a good run for a while !Comment

Well done, I am very jealous.
I wouldn't mind the summer off myself, but I've been renewed until end of Sep.
No doubt, I will be taking the winter off.Comment
