    That's what I figured.

I handed in my notice on Friday, and sacked the nanny today. I'm going to have a few months off with my son and get my priorities straight.

We sacked our Nanny last week. Way too Moody she was.

Enjoy your sabbatical with your little one, in time you'll decide what direction you want to take going forward.

Enjoy the summer. Was tempted to do similar, but Mrs OG is off for the summer and I have plenty of work from home days and hols scheduled.

If you get really desperate and lose all self-respect, don't forget to PM psychocandy for the in depth guide to claiming JSA as a contractor.

Good for you. I think most people probably work 45 years with no more than a two week long break at any time, so if you have the chance to take longer then do it.

Of course you've probably jinxed Summer for the rest of us now. It'll rain until Winter

                Great idea!

I'm doing the same thing myself.
Rain really tipping down here today.

I'll see you at the mad scramble for contracts come September

Thanks people. I've spent five years sacrificing the present for our future, and figured I might have been wrong to do so.

I will PM you in a couple of months PC...
