    I've used a some of the brokers here and from personal experience so far I would recommend Freelancer Financials.

    PM me and I'll give you a direct contact there, if you like.

            If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

              Was mine taking 4 months with Accord. May be due to me having a slightly complicated situation but I think it's largely the broker and lender being a bit useless. Its now held up while their solicitor waits for a reply from the land registry.

                To be fair Accord are pretty poor for service, so I wouldn't knock your broker too much, it may well be them.

                  Accord kept me hanging on for over 4 months then offered me 75% of what I was asking (which of course was no good at all). They also charged me £130 for the privilege. Absolute time wasters. Really....get out now while you still have your sanity (-£130).

                    Common sense at a number of lenders has gone out of the window recently. One of the advisers here has placed a mortgage with a bank who have asked the clients son to sign a waiver to say that he will not have any right to the property should it need to be repossessed.

                    The clients son is 5 years old.

                      I don't know what it is with banks these days but the following are two gems I've had lately:
                      1. Bank refused to open a children's savings account for a new born because the new born baby wasn't present at the time of application;
                      2. Bank wanted a signature for the account form a 4 year old because they lived at the same address as the mother!

                      Talk about crazy form filling and complete lack of common sense!
