    Returning To Work Mum Needs Guidance With SC Clearance

    I wonder if someone could please help me with regards to completing my SC form.

    I have been a stay at home mum for the past five years and have just recently returned to work, my employer has put me forward for clearance and having looked over the form I’m somewhat at a loss as to how I should complete the section that requires my previous employers.

    I’m fine with all my places of work up until I stopped 5 years ago and as I didn’t claim unemployment benefit during this time I don’t even have a benefits office to use as a reference.

    Will it be sufficient to put down I stayed at home until my child reached school age? I take it they will check my national insurance records and see that I have neither worked or claimed, really don’t want to mess this up as it was hard enough just getting back into the work place.

    Fill in the employer details as best you can for when you were working. Add an explanation in the "Other Comments" section for the time out of work. They'll know you weren't in the nick...

    Or give the relevant authority a bell, they'll have a helpdesk for such questions.

      Could ask your HR for guidance seems they are the ones asking you to fill it in?

        They might ask for a copy of the birth certificate, mat certificate doesn't seem to suffice.
