However, update your cv for those other jobsites and applications and unless you want JS to be out of step, you have to either edit the JS profile separately or, delete, reload and manually re set all your preferred work locations, preferred roles and key skills.

    In a word, its wank.

WHS - I've never even used the tools that were listed as 'Excellent' - they appeared on my CV in the context of a data migration.

I get most of my contact with agents from jobsite but jobswerve serves a purpose as cwjobs and technojobs are also a bit wank imo.

Number of live contracts from what I can see:

Jobserve: 7,160 (dont think all IT)
            Technojobs: 9,613
            CW: 2,055
            ITJB: 2,185

dont know why JS feel the need to tweak things all the time.

Do a search on technojobs for contract only and it returns permie jobs as well!

It seems you need a keyword to do a search, so I put the letter a in the keyword field and contract only to get all the contracts.

My searches are returning contracts only - I hid all the branded jobs at the top.

I don't know if they rectified this recently, but in my case, if I upload my CV (apart from their default profile), and go to "My Profile", and click "Access Settings" next to the profile, then I can select my CV instead of the default profile from the dropdown, and set it as the default searchable CV for recruiters etc. This effectively hides the profile from others, and makes your CV searchable like normal jobswerve.

I read this thread and figured I'd better investigate. I uploaded my latest CV, and it swallowed it up, then digested for a bit and vomited up the most nonsensical piece of garbage imaginable.

For a start, nobody outside Microsoft's PR department called it "Active Server Pages" even when it was being used, it's now called Classic ASP, and the fact that I did occasional work with it in the early years of the century does not mean I'm hunting for roles involving it in 2013

"Personal Home Page" had me confused for a while, until I remembered that it was the proper name of PHP. Or, more accurately, that was its name between 1995 and 1997. Yes, it hasn't been called that for sixteen years, Jobserve, you bunch of muppets

I didn't get any further than making a few edits to the farrago of nonsense it had churned out before simply going for the "Bin this dross" option. I've always found gigs by searching and contacting agents myself, and it looks like I always will - although I daresay Jobserve will be going bust before too long if they carry on inflicting this abomination on their users.
