    Jobserve - Profile.docx

I just noticed Jobserve has created a Profile.docx file on my account.

Anyone know how to get rid of this? It just seems to be a copy of my CV but edited by some computer program, and is incorrect. Can't see a link to remove it.

    What a load of crap.

Just had a look at mine and its full of mistakes "Excellent Skills" of 1 year and "Basic Skills" of 8 years

No easy way to delete it though, and it seems making you searchable only allows you to point them to the new profile document

Much like mine. I'm "Excellent" at Auditing and Sharepoint (never done either although those words are mentioned ONCE in my CV), and i'm "Basic" at phone support.

My main primary skill isn't even listed (EDIT: yes it is, just spotted it in the middle of everything "Good")

Just got a reply back from Jobserve:

        Dear Kingcook,

Once you are logged into your JobServe profile, you will need to go to the ‘My Profile’ tab and click on ‘View Profile’. Once on the ‘My Profile’ page, click on the ‘dustbin’ icon, this will then delete your ‘My Profile’. Once this has been done, you will have the option to re-do your ‘My Profile’ either from an existing CV or you can upload another one. Once this has been done, click on the ‘clog’ icon which is on the top right hand side of the ‘My Profile’ page, here you will be able to change your ‘Access Settings’

        Kind regards

That's the exact message I got last week from them.
Apparently, you need to use this Profile nonsense or your cv will not be searchable by agents.

Yep I just called them, basically they've just automatically generated a profile for everyone with some poorly written software/rules, which is what the recruiters searches will be based on, and now everyone has to go in and correct the profile through the "My Profile" tab so you don't get swamped by loads of unsuitable roles! It's ridiculous!

@Jobserve - this will *not* make you LinkedIn.

Any other (good) contract websites out there?

It's certainly ONE way of getting your data cleansed - users will either log on and refresh everything, or close their accounts to stop the calls about irrelevant jobs...
