I've got a seven month gap in my history. I tell peole I took time off to write a play. OK, it was a murder mystery and took me about three weeks, but nobody has questioned it yet...
BTW, anybody want a good Murder Mystery play for an evening's entertainment?

I hope the characters all have suitably cheesy names
Doesn't that get queried at interviews, putting years instead of month/year?
Only by HR goons. Explain that some of your contracts were concurrent, and involved multiple stints spanning a number of years - if they're big names I doubt they'd query it. You could also explain the difference between a contractor and a permie, and that if they're looking for a contractor that sort of thing goes with the territory.
