Anyone here at UBS? Is it a blood bath for contractors

What are people at UBS seeing at the moment - is it as bad as the papers have made it out to be?

Are all contractors getting the chop or is it perms first?

          Not only UBS

Rival firms won't be gloating at UBS's misfortunes. Cost-income ratios are out of whack at many European investment banks, and plenty need to raise capital - or cut assets. Many more job losses and compensation cuts are to come.

On the Bench probably. IB contractors are notoriously snobby about taking non-IB contracts that are 'beneath' them.

Well let's just hope they stay paranoid. Can't have 'em flooding the market

Unfortunately they are not all paranoid but luckily some clients don't like people with just IBs on their CV.
