Hello guys,. I'm new here and got a problem I could do with some help.
A lot of this could be partially my mistakes, but you decide..here it is...

About 3 months ago, I signed a contract to a dance agency here in London, the requirements are that I am to complete at least 26 Saturdays in 1 year, and that I get good feedback.
( I go out and instruct hen parties)
The parties take place either in London or really far out places like Manchester, and Birmingham ( I live in East London which is really far) but they do pay back your expenses.
Here's the catch, we are given training before starting work, and we are to commit to the training, if we decide we don't want to work for them after even 1 day of the training, or after the training, we are required to pay £975 fine and if not they take you to court and try take your belongings to add up to the money....
Apparently I am meant to be 18 by the time I started to work, however one of the organizers said just sign it you'll be fine, so now i signed a contract and worked my first day under the wrong age, 17. (I am now 18)
I didn't know what to do, the money was little, all I was doing was working to pay my travel expenses to work.
A month ago my father was in a car accident in South Africa so I went to see him, however on the night (Friday night) I found out I was devastated and couldn't work in the morning..BUT no one in the agency answered their phone and didn't show any consideration and I went to work that morning under so much stress!
I left the following week, however on the day I was meant to fly out I emailed saying that I will be going and when I come back I wont be able to work because I will have so much to catch up at Uni including studying and rehearsing on Saturdays ( considering I study dance). I got no reply to that and just a demand that I send all the equipment the company has sent to be asap, what? on the day I have to leave???!!
I Phoned saying that's impossible and my mom would drop off the equipment the following Saturday. ( Just so you know from my first paycheck they kept £100 which is to be reimbursed after the equipment has been returned) ans it still has not been payed back.
Before I left I made sure my last invoices were posted before payroll and they were, I have been checking my account and nothing has been paid, I have emailed the finance office, no reply.
My mom has called and all they said is that they will email asap, it has now been a month and NOTHING.

I don't care about the money, its the inconsiderate people who don't even bother to rely to me, care about whats happened, but yet still email me conserving classes to teach next year??!!
I am young, I know, and normally wise enough to know what signing contracts are like. But I made a huge mistake, please could some just help me with a little adviser??
Thank you
