Sorry about asking this hear, I've been searching around and this seems the best UK forum to ask such a question.
Background:
I've been unemployed for a year now and it's becoming increasingly hard to find work in the IT sector with 1 year gap and little experience.
Recently I found a job in the LEP partnership, which means they should show preferential treatment to those unemployed for 6+ months which means I might actually have a shot.
The job (as far as I can tell, Job centre are known for lack of information) role is installation of computers at remote sites across the UK. From what I gather it's pretty much installing new systems, pluggins the hardware in and making sure they are operational before leaving the site.
Job description states BPSS will be needed and provided by employer. From extra research and finding job advertised elsewhere I saw the statment "Prefer current up to date SC Clearance", despite having no history of SC checks I still plan to apply.
Issues:
I got cautioned for fraud (electronic fraud maybe, was an Ebay dispute gone terribly wrong) about 4months ago. The issue was so petty and stupid, yet still it is a criminal caution for fraud.
Will this effect the BPSS (Formally Basic Check). I understand that this does not show as a criminal conviction, but it will show on enhanced disclosure checks for working in schools etc.
Bad Credit:
I have some pretty bad credit history, but no CCJ or Bankruptcy/DRO (New form of bankruptcy, but smaller scale) issues.

Thanks for the help guys, these are the 2 issues I have had in my life that may effect a BPSS.
PS: While I am here, anyone had dealings with http://www.hhg.uk.com/ which is the company advertising the vacancy.
