Notice periods have to paid off when you are a Contractor, if its in the "contract" - hence the term...... "Contractor". You can work them, or be asked to be off-site and get paid for them.

Well, if your not allowed any notice - i.e. to leave the Contract and you need/want to - not sure how you can get out it?

I guess the agency can only with hold the amount that they owe you - and that depends if you are on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payment cycle. The rest they would have to go to court for - and who can be bothered with that.

Is this from experience, or are you guessing? Every time I see your post, I think more and more that you are a sockpuppet.

Just walk out and tell the client you are not coming back. You will be in breach of contract, and you may or may not get paid.

1 question... are you a sockpuppet?
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

Why would you want to bail out in the middle of a contract anyway? You're hired to deliver something, not walk out becuase you got bored. The time to terminate is at renewal.

Think like a professional for once.
        Blog? What blog...?

I agree here (to a certain extent). Some people think like a permie... so let them think like a permie.

Yep. I wouldn't work with the OP. When I worked at RBS, an indian guy joined the team. He wasn't happy with the rate, so he decided to accept the role, and take it up with HR. He managed to upset HR and was asked to leave. The OP of this post, reminds me of him.....
