If it didn't just end up an agent bashing exercise with most posters not even making an attempt to understand their business and just complain about how we perceive it. Just because we don't like some of the things they do doesn't mean they are wrong unfortunately. There are good points to be made and lessons for the agents to learn I totally agree. Just calling them lying naughty boys isn't really going to help.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

30 seconds is not long enough for confirmation of that. I'm sure cojak will be along later to confirm or reprimand.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostOh!! I can say naughty boys in the prof forums!! Cool!!!!

'Been with them' sounds like you are not really embedded yet. Give a few more years and you may react as a Director should - as if you are them, not still outside them! Somebody mentioned deniability and I would suggest the statement I have quoted shows that you want to be liked rather than to take responsibility for the actions of your employees. What they do is done in the name of the Company, Shareholders and DIRECTORS. You cannot stand back from that as if you play no part in their activity.Last edited by Taita; 25 January 2013, 16:52.Comment

No point messing with the semantics. I am part of SThree, and think of myself as an integral part of the company and it's growth.Originally posted by Taita View Post'Been with them' sounds like you are not really embedded yet. As I have said before, I don't think we have an institutional problem, and where you guys highlight issues to me I will investigate and take the appropriate action.Comment

But thanks for joining in Andy.
And I've renamed the original 5-year old thread."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Once I had taken the time to consider a number of your comments on other issues I found I agreed with you most of the time but not on this postOriginally posted by northernladuk View PostI think playing on exact words to bash him doesn't really help.
Please be assured I am not being pedantic or manipulating semantics. I am referring to a state of mind. One belongs to the family and accepts familial responsibility (director) or does not (employee).
I accept that the man has done the right thing in coming onto the forum and speaking out. For that he has my admiration.
Also, I fully understand that it would be foolish for him to admit to the faults (all anecdotal and mainly anonymous) here but it was a rare 'not to be missed' opportunity to lay out our general (about agency practices) grievances.
On the other hand I realise that we (contractors) often are an equally annoying, dishonest, unscrupulous breed and that we often are the authors of our own bad experiences as you have commented.Comment

Isn't exactly the strongest evidence to start making assumptions about some ones attitude to work is it.'Been with them' sounds like you are not really embedded yet.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
