I had a quick look and don't fancy signing up to the One Login and having the app and the bio-metric face scan....I don't trust having personal info on a govt. app.
Yes I have read it and don't want to have my bio-metrics and the app installed....I was a victim of identity fraud a few years ago and had the police involved and I have to be super careful now what I share.
Not to speak for ladymuck, but the point is that you can get a personal code (via a "One Login" account) without installing the app. This thread started when willendure mentioned 2 alternatives (answering questions online or going to a Post Office), and I gave more info.
NotAllThere mentioned an agent (ACSP), and they can file the confirmation statement for you, but in your case the property management company is already doing that (i.e. that's not going to save you any work). However, I believe that the ACSP would still need you to provide your personal code, to prove that they're authorised to act on your behalf.
Have you actually bothered reading any of the information on this
Why are you being so rude and accusatory writing the above?

I was a director then of my own ltd and they got some info via Companies House about me.
It was a total nightmare and now I have to be super careful what I share.
Having all my personal info on a govt app...I don't feel comfortable ...they can be hacked quite easily.
I despair of this forum now - it seems people want to pounce and are not helpful.
I'm sorry to hear that.
Your post gave the impression that you thought there is only one way to validate your identity (via an app) and that you also don't want to have a One Login. These suggested that you hadn't done any reading on the topic.

Presumably there is actually some mechanism that can be used by those who don't use a computer or smart phone to deal with government services?
It seems wholly unreasonable that people may be excluded from engaging with government services simply because they don't have a computer or smart phone. Nor should such people be forced to pay a third party.

You'd think but I don't believe any such concessions have been made.

I think there are 2 different questions:
* Does someone have a computer or smart phone?
* Can/will they use a computer or smart phone?
If you don't have one, you can still get internet access (free of charge) at your local library. However, if you're unable or unwilling to use one, things will get a lot more difficult, because there are an increasing number of services that can only be accessed that way.

My take on life is that most people will reach a point where they are unable to operate a computer or smart phone either through physical or mental impairment.
People should not be forced to use online mechanisms.
Some of us don’t have local libraries and this will probably get worse.

I am going to guess dollars to donuts that you posted this on a mobile phone which stores your biometrics, running software from one of two companies who actively sell your data, and are quite open about it as part of their operating model

I want my account deleted and all of my information removed, I want to invoke my right to be forgotten.
