        Liz is going to have a whole lot more to worry about than IR35. I never understand why people even want to be politicians anymore. They start from a very low level of expectation and steadily work their way downwards from there. She had zero intention of ever doing anything about IR35 .... why would she? It's very likely the most absurd and unfair tax ever but it's in place now and has been effective enough.

          tell that to the chap you're sat next to, doing broadly the same job, for less money and who until recently paid significantly more tax.

                    My point is that comparing a genuine consultant to a permanent employee isn't comparing like with like. I know that tax and employment laws are separate - although they shouldn't be - but if I am giving up perks of permanent employment I want to be financially compensated for it.
