As I'm conservative it's based on 220 days at £350 a day and the PAYE equivalent for a year comes to £66,800 (with employer NI, apprenticeship levy and a £25 umbrella fee deducted).
thanks, which is £47,436.76 after tax, so that means 23.7k on a 6 month role.

An inside role at 350/400 vs a perm role at 40k/45k?

Happy to hear both sides of the argument. Thanks
The perm role. I will never work inside IR35 under any circumstances.

Depends on what else is on the table for the perm role. Assuming 40-45k is the basic salary, to have a clearer picture you have to consider stuff such as

        - yearly bonus
        - employer pension contributions
        - training budget

        just to name a few.

          Free coffee
          subsidised parking
          Free cakes
          Pack of crisps at Xmas

All of these "benfits" are frankly worthless with the exeption of perhaps pension contrib (only a few percent from my viewings) and a discretionary bonus (read only when times are great)

          The perm benefits are overrated

I know one person on here that would chop his right arm off for the parking...

But non of those are benefits. They are perks, which are offered to most people on site including contractors at many clients so bit of a crap argument.

I believe a proper benefit is the use of a spell checker... Maybe you should go perm?

I've worked at multiple sites where contractors were explicitly excluded from perks such as on-site parking, subsidised canteen, free coffee etc

But what LPM said regarding perm benefits being overrated probably tells us more about his experience that the market in general.

So have I - And I would rather have to pay for my coffee and parking and bill a serious invoice than think about 45K salary (as was suggested) with all the perm benefits !

None of those you list are benefits.

You've got very little clue of what permanent employment is all about so maybe you should just sit this one out and limit yourself to post on threads where you can actually make valuable contributions.

Any idea what topics he could make a valuable contribution on - I don't remember anything helpful in his 342 posts so far.

To be fair, there's a lot more than that.
