Spooky. I accidentally said I'd go speak to someone on Sametime to one of the young lads here at the client the other week and he looked at me like I had two heads.

You mean you actually talk to real people?

At clientco we have to repeatedly tell the youngsters to go and speak to people directly. They act horrified when you say that even though some of the direct speaking is through chat.

That'll probably be at the Building Society or one of its subsidiaries. Nice place to work but the blokes were gutted when a general email went out advising the females that thongs should not be deliberately visible above their trousers.

It was also the first place that I learned that if you're in Yorkshire and you want a toasted teacake, you have to ask for a toasted fruit teacake or you get get a toasted bread roll.

Hi
I am a first time contractor looking out for my first contract recently with a long permanent job history.
While I had the permanent job a month back, I was seeing a lot of buzz in the SharePoint market but my CV was not selling primarily because of the 4 week notice period (and some SC requirements).
Finally after a lot of consideration to ensure keeping me afloat for few weeks financially and looking at the number of job requirements in the market, I took the plunge and quit my job to focus completely on the contractor market and also tap into those
