Why do you want to become an I.T. contractor? What are your hopes?

We don't want to be contractors - we ARE contractors.

well in my case it was necessity.
a P45 from my 'permanent' employer, just before they went broke.
Lost my job, £30k sharescheme shares and my pension. Thanks guys, way to go.

Had enough of bad line managers. As a contractor I still encounter bad line managers but I don't have the same responsibility to them

The only time in a year you were told what you were meant to be doing.

Funnily enough I still have these but they are called supplier reviews and deliverables now
