Bee has a good point. Whilst I suspect the cultures are different, saying things are different because they are is a poor argument. We should be able to quatify our opinions.
Pet peeve of mine, I spend my days aruging with people blocking projects because of whimsical fantasys not baked in reality. They can't backup their opinions but don't seem to feel they have to.
Please don't attempt to validate fallacious arguments.Comment

One of the problems of the British is assuming and think they know everything, kind of assguro.Comment

My experience of different cultures is that they are, by definition and reality, different.
It is not an argument about one being right and another being wrong, it is about accepting the other culture is different to yours. You can either adopt it to try to integrate when there, or you can ignore it and find it difficult to integrate.
You can also learn from other cultures, as long as you are not closed-minded. Not everything one culture does is "the best", learn something new, grow a bit.
It's like business improvement and contracting. Good contractors have a raft of experience gained from different clients. If you believe that after 1 client you know everything and there is nothing left to learn, then you'll just be an arrogant permie in a year or two. The more clients I go to, the more I learn. If you don't learn at a client, you haven't listened and you haven't done your job well.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

To be more accurate: you have a problem with British people because you assume that they think they know everything. Which is nice of you.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

It is exactly this type of chicken sh*t attitude that encourages SOME agents to walk all over folks! Sure - one has to keep things professional and not winge out over every little thing. But taking serious s**t because you're afraid of getting sacked - GROW A PAIR, will you!
Get this: end client's don't give a cr*p about who sends them CV:s as long as they get them. Agencies are way replaceable - and much, much more so then you are (that is if you have skills).
I had agencies removed from the PSL in a blink of an eye because they tried to pull all kinds of sh*t!
Geeez!
Waoh! Steady! Do I know you
I see you have apologised but having this for first reaction though
Am not sure what attitude you are getting irritated by but perhaps let me explain what I posted earlier;
If a perceived discrimination occurs at screening stage or interview stage, I personally would not chase it further! Does not mean it was right nor does it mean I eat **** to stay busy. Simply an indication to me that I wouldn't be able to work there without this bias getting in the way of my work anyway!
If I take it further what I am hoping to get? The contract or compensation- If I get contract I can still get booted in very little time. Compensation?.. not sure about that! Mind you you won't get comp pronto so go figure!
If I take this up at the screening stage(note I haven't even landed the gig yet) I could potentially block future business opportunity from the company or agent.
The fact that this HM is prejudiced doesn't mean every HM in the organisation is! I tend to work for large companies so think that way!
Also if I were to chase it further, there will be a mountain of red tape that I would need to go through and putting into perspective that at that point I am trying to secure a contract, chasing them wouldn't be my priority!
You seem like you would chase it happily but each to their own!
If however, I have landed the contract and this occurs then completely different story!
You are entitled to your opinion though. I am not afraid of being sacked and I don't know where you were able to infer that from given that the discussion really was centred on pre engagement.
I sense something really sore just happened to you but no need to take it out on everyone Mate!Comment

He gave you quite a detailed reply at 10:52, but you were probably just concentrating too much on trolling to read it.
There are a couple of posts regarding the Polish work culture earlier in the thread.
All these continuous anti British sentiments you spout are, quite frankly, very boring .The Chunt of Chunts.Comment

Rather than trying to find aggression in posts where none exists, try starting from the point that people do not spend their whole lives trying to think of ways to hurt you.
If I was a psychologist, I'd suggest you are doing a lot of projecting, which is not a great trait to have as a professional IT contractor.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
