It is exactly this type of chicken sh*t attitude that encourages SOME agents to walk all over folks! Sure - one has to keep things professional and not winge out over every little thing. But taking serious s**t because you're afraid of getting sacked - GROW A PAIR, will you!

Get this: end client's don't give a cr*p about who sends them CV:s as long as they get them. Agencies are way replaceable - and much, much more so then you are (that is if you have skills).

I had agencies removed from the PSL in a blink of an eye because they tried to pull all kinds of sh*t!

    Geeez!

Try and cut back on the Tennents Super fella.

If you are unaware of the difference in business culture from country to country then you are thicker than I gave you credit for.

There is already legislation to cover it.

The problem with legislation is that it needs people to enforce it.

Or know it and exactly how to use it .

I must admit I personally get a great deal of pleasure winning such "negotiations", providing I have the time

Instead of calling you names, I prefer to think that you had a bad day.

You are so bright that you know the business culture of a country without living there.
I'm sorry but you are making me laugh.

If you say it's different you should specify the differences or you are talking bulltulip.

You can actually look it up - there are guides and books for foreigners.

True for most countries, and the foreigners who get on best in the country are those who learn them.

Of course business culture is very different between various countries.
Have you not worked for international companies before?
You can be aware of different business cultures, without knowing them inside out

Oh you are learning from books, interesting.

Anyway, my question was a trap.

If you think it's so easy to learn the business culture of a country from a book, it's also easy for a Polish don't you think?

Polish, Portuguese, Paraguayan... there's no reason why any particular person from a nationality can't do a bit of research about the culture they are wanting to be involved in, and doing the research shows professionalism as well as courtesy.
