Look at the guys name on jobserve usually a dropdown with phone number.

Reading between the lines, it seemed like it was a global pitch to business to come and start your venture here. We have everything in the UK. Except for good weather!

I have just swallowed my pride and enabled the green Open To Work thing on LinkedIn for all users rather than just recruiters.
I wonder if I am going to get anonymous mushroom box harvest festival food hampers left on my doorstep.

As expected, yesterday's perfect interview has come back negative.
Feedback was generally a long the lines of superficial knowledge although I answered all the questions in detail.
He also gave feedback that I had not participated in open source or forums. And as a ex-developer was disappointed by this approach.
I am still smiling about the feedback TBH. I knew it would go like that, from the drilling down into the tech questions he was giving me.
Interviews, have to be the right guy at the right time and the interviewer wanting to give the job. It's not scientific and more random than anything else.Comment

Not only is it unfair but many people who contribute to personal/open source projects or who have huge scores on tech forums do so on the company dollar.

I answered every question perfectly. He even said, that he could not ask me any Java questions because he has no knowledge of half the technologies on my CV. And the Microsoft ones were not in question.
Gosh, I hate tech nerds sometimes.Comment

Interviews are more about personality matches than competence. You probably made the interviewer feel threatened by being too competent.Comment
