wooo BOOMING market. Just been asked if I'd be interested in a contract for a public sector client paying....drum roll...375 inside ir35. I did the same role at the same client 3 years ago for 650 (always inside ir35)

My advice is to make sure you are using CV Library as their search facility for recruiters is above and beyond Jobserves and many of them use it as a primary source to call you, decent ones too, not just Damco solutions.
I use jobserve to check the pulse of the market but it should never be used to gauge contract rates.
In 'Soviet Russia, recruitment consultants call YOU' etc.
And yes, many people would work happily for 500pd inside IR35 for the rest of their lives but this is the IT contractor forum and someone, somewhere has to expense for NLUK's monthly wet almond latte bill from Cafe Nero.
This is what happens when socialists invade government, all the aspiration gets sucked out of everything, i dispair i tell thee!

There is ITjobswatch that pulls all the stats on rates vs roles etc but again it's based on scraping from the recruiting pages so includes false roles and artificially increased rates as well.

Totally this. I think this stems from agents marking up roles and then offering lower, not the jobsites though.

"Wall Street and tech giants weed out workers as recession looms: Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Google slow hiring as Goldman Sachs reinstates year-end job cuts after profits plunged..Meta, Amazon, Tesla and Alphabet previously said they planned to slow hiring "
Anyone noticing a slowdown out there?
Im still in contract but looking very likely i will be not be renewed at year end.
I think 2023 is going to be a really bad year for the IT jobs market.
